Okezi has practiced as a legal adviser in the Oil & Gas and Energy Sectors for close to 8 years. His working experience has also covered infrastructure and project finance, corporate restructuring,
investment banking, private equity, mergers & acquisition. He has a Master‟s Degree in Oil & Gas Law from the University of Aberdeen, United Kingdom.
Okezi was a Senior Associate in Bloomfield Law Practice (BLP) where he was a core member of the Energy and Natural Resources team. From July – November 2017, Okezi was a Legal Consultant/Specialist on the World Bank-funded Power Sector Recovery Program (PSRP). Recently, as a Senior Legal Counsel with both Nigerian Gas Company Limited (NGC) and Nigerian Gas Marketing Company Limited (NGMC) (subsidiaries to the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation – NNPC), Okezi played a key role in negotiations and finalization of the recently executed Project Agreements for the NGC – NGMC – Seplat ANOH gas development project which aims to deliver 3.4 BSCF/D of gas by 2020 and also reviewing all relevant documents connected to the on-going $2.8 Billion 40” x 614 kilometer Ajaokuta-Kaduna-Kano Gas Pipeline and Stations Project.
Okezi was given the Nigerian Rising Star Award for 2018 by Esq Nigerian Legal Awards and named as one of the Top 40 Lawyers in Nigeria Under Age 40. He is a member of the Nigerian Gas Association, Nigerian Bar Association, Energy Institute, Association of International Petroleum Negotiators and nternational Association for Contract and Commercial Management. He is the Head, Contract Management and General Counsel to QSL Gas and Power Limited.
